Introduction

Mark Foods is a full-service seafood company specializing in sourcing, supply chain, processing, custom programs, private labeling, and value-added products for retail and foodservice partners.

Sourcing and logistics companies have the same problem. It's the kind of work we do along the I-35 corridor in Denton.

They partnered with The Working Assembly, a branding and design agency, for a complete visual identity and website design—and brought me in as their Webflow development partner to turn that design into a production-ready site their team could own and scale.

Challenge

But Mark Foods' new brand came with real technical ambition. The Working Assembly's design called for a large, product-heavy site with premium, motion-forward interactions across the website, and every detail had to land cleanly to match the caliber of a company positioning itself at the top of the seafood category.

They needed more than a static rebuild. The scope included a deep product catalog that had to be added and maintained over time, a modular product template with components the team could rearrange section by section, and a series of layout and interaction challenges that didn't exist as off-the-shelf Webflow patterns. Each one had to feel intentional, perform on every breakpoint, and stay safe for the client's team to edit in Webflow without breaking.

Key Deliverables & Results

Built a fully custom Webflow site from The Working Assembly's design files, pairing a modular product template with a library of reusable components so Mark Foods can expand their catalog and marketing story without custom dev work on every update.

The key wasn't just translating the design—it was building a system. That meant a product template engineered so sections can be added, removed, or rearranged per product, components that drop in cleanly for new content, and custom-coded interactions for the harder sections:

  • A hero video slider that advances when each clip ends with a numbered timer ring
  • A Swiper.js thumbnail slider whose circular progress rings fill in sync with autoplay
  • A desktop-hover / mobile-accordion benefits section powered by GSAP
  • And an on-hover mega-menu navigation with smart pointer handling to prevent flicker between the trigger and panel.

Layout complexity was a throughline of the build. Dense product pages, responsive switches between hover and accordion patterns, container-query breakpoints, video overlays, and pixel-accurate nav behavior all had to coexist without compromising performance or the premium feel of the brand.

Results

Mark Foods now has a website that looks and feels like the premium seafood partner they are, and a Webflow setup their team can confidently update on their own. New products can be spun up from the template, sections can be toggled on or off per product, and content edits stay safely inside the guardrails the build was designed around.

A recap of what was built:

  • Full custom Webflow development from The Working Assembly's designs for a pixel-accurate, on-brand implementation
  • Modular product template engineered so sections can be added, removed, or reordered per product
  • Reusable component library for the template so new content can be dropped in without custom dev work
  • Custom hero video slider that auto-advances on video end with numbered timer bullets and synced coordinate text
  • Swiper.js thumbnail ring slider with dynamically generated thumbnails and circular progress rings tied to autoplay
  • Benefits section with responsive behavior — desktop hover-to-reveal and GSAP-powered mobile accordion
  • Custom on-hover mega-menu navigation with matched data-attribute pairing and flicker-free pointer handling
  • Resolved layout complexities across dense product pages and responsive breakpoints for a consistent premium feel
