Ellis Baptist Association | Migration to Webflow
How we rebuilt Ellis Baptist Association's 35-page site in Webflow with a custom MapBox church finder this 44-church network can manage without a developer.
Introduction
Ellis Baptist Association is a network of 44 churches across the Greater Ellis County area, supporting local churches in church planting, leadership, and ministry.
They're based in Waxahachie, a few miles down the road from us.
As the association's work grew, its website needed to do more, and the WordPress site it lived on made even simple updates harder than they should have been.
Challenge
EBA's WordPress site had become a barrier instead of a tool. With 35 pages of content to carry over and a team that needed to keep everything current, the platform made routine updates slow and technical.
Keeping teaching, events, and church resources fresh took more effort than it was worth.
They needed a website their team could actually own. One built on a platform that was easy to update week to week, organized around how the association serves its churches, and flexible enough to handle a growing library of pages without a developer in the loop for every change.
Key Deliverables
Handled the full project from start to finish, including design, development, messaging, and team training, rebuilding EBA's entire site in Webflow and recreating all 35 pages on a platform the staff can confidently manage.
The goal was not just to change platforms. It was to make the site genuinely easy to run. That meant a clean page structure, content sections the team can edit without touching code, and motion throughout the site built with GSAP so the experience feels polished on every page.
The centerpiece is a custom church finder. Built with MapBox and the Webflow CMS, it lets visitors explore the association's member churches on an interactive map, with each location pulled straight from the CMS.
Adding or updating a church is as simple as editing a CMS entry, and the map keeps itself current.
To round out the handoff, I helped sharpen the site's messaging so it clearly says who EBA is and how it serves its churches, then trained the team so they feel confident keeping the site current themselves.
Ellis Baptist Association now has a fully rebuilt Webflow site the team can update on their own, anchored by a custom church finder built for the way the association works.
Results
Ellis Baptist Association now has a website that matches how they actually work. The team can update pages, publish events, and manage their church directory without waiting on a developer, and the custom map keeps the association's churches easy to find.
