Introduction

CP Brands is a consumer products company that designs, markets, and sells its brands through a national network of retail partners.

They worked with Nice Media Lab, a design agency, on a fresh visual direction for their website—and brought me in as their Webflow development partner to turn that design into a fast, animated, production-ready site their team could manage on their own.

Challenge

The design Nice Media Lab handed off was anything but a standard build.

Nearly every section of the homepage called for custom motion—an intro animation, a swiping hero, auto-playing sliders, staggered reveals, and a bento-style portfolio—none of which exist as off-the-shelf Webflow patterns.

They needed more than a static rebuild. The site had to open with a branded logo animation, carry that polish through a fixed navbar, a continuously scrolling logo ticker, and capability sections that animate in one at a time—and still stay easy for the team to update.

The news section had to run on the CMS while handling both internal articles and external links that open in a new window, and the whole thing had to perform cleanly on every breakpoint.

Key Deliverables

Built a fully custom Webflow site from Nice Media Lab's design files, translating a motion-heavy concept into a fast, responsive build with reusable components and CMS-driven content the team can update without touching code.

The key wasn't just translating the design—it was engineering the interactions. That meant a homepage intro animation that fades the logo and background away to reveal the page, a GSAP-powered logo ticker that clones itself to scroll infinitely at any screen width, an auto-swiping "who we are" slider, capability sections that animate in one at a time, and a 10-tile bento portfolio grid with a static quote card injected into the CMS collection list at exactly the right position.

Content flexibility was built in throughout. The news section runs on the CMS with conditional logic so internal posts link to article pages while external posts open in a new window, a reusable CTA component drops onto every page, and Google Analytics and cookie consent were wired in at launch.

CP Brands now has a polished, motion-rich website that matches Nice Media Lab's design and runs on a CMS their team can manage.

Results

CP Brands now has a website that delivers on the agency's vision—motion-forward, on-brand, and fast—while giving their team a CMS-driven foundation they can keep current on their own. New articles, portfolio items, and content updates all happen inside the guardrails the build was designed around.

A recap of what was built:

  • Full custom Webflow development from Nice Media Lab's designs for a pixel-accurate, on-brand implementation
  • Homepage intro animation that fades the logo and background away to reveal the page on load
  • GSAP scrolling logo ticker that auto-clones to loop seamlessly across any screen width
  • Auto-swiping "who we are" slider and capability sections that animate in one at a time
  • 10-tile bento portfolio grid with a static quote card injected into the CMS collection list via custom code
  • CMS-driven news section with conditional internal article links and external links that open in a new window
  • Reusable CTA component built once and reused across every page
